Drinking water system in Arizona tests positive for E. coli

The Arizona Department of Environmental Quality confirmed contamination in the Doney Park Water Company supply.

DONEY PARK, AZ, NOVEMBER 13, 2016 --Drinking water in an Arizona city has tested positive for E. coli. The Arizona Department of Environmental Quality confirmed contamination in the Doney Park Water Company supply on Sunday morning, according to local newspaper the Arizona Daily Sun.

Doney Park residents were asked to boil their water before drinking or using it to prepare food until the contamination has been contained.

UPDATE: The boil water advisory has been lifted after the Doney Park Water Company's repeat water sample tests, taken after chlorination treatment have come back negative for the contaminants.
