Leading water marketing firm opens Houston office

WestWater Research, based in Laramie, WY, announced that it has opened a Houston office under the direction of Andrea Larsen.


LARAMIE, Wyo., Sept. 8, 2003 -- WestWater Research, based in Laramie, WY, announced that it has opened a Houston office under the direction of Andrea Larsen. The firm specializes in water marketing and water asset valuations serving a wide range of clients including energy and industrial firms, real estate developers and landowners, and municipal entities. Next Tuesday, WestWater Research will be hosting a luncheon in Houston for select members of the energy industry.

The WestWater Research team has an extensive background in water policies and regulations that is a valuable resource in creating new strategies for water resource development and value recovery through the sale of water related assets. For buyers and sellers operating in this emerging market, WestWater Research provides a full range of professional services including transaction brokerage, water valuations and appraisals, and project finance advisement and structuring.

Andrea Larsen, who is heading up the Houston office, is a senior associate of WestWater Research with more than 10 years of experience in the water industry. According to Larsen, "WestWater Research will provide a vital resource to energy clients in the Houston area offering an optimal venue to out-source water issues unrelated to the client's core business. For example, we perform objective analysis and valuation of water supply sources and reclaimed oil and gas water."

Larsen's broad experience with water markets includes valuation assessments, deal structuring, financial analysis, and risk assessment for water development projects and concession contracts. In addition, she has developed environmental permits, performed water resource assessments, and recommended mitigation measures. She is a member of the Water Allocation and Regulations Committee under the Water Resources Division of the American Water Works Association.
