PENNINGTON, N.J., Feb. 20, 2003 -- WorldWater Corp. and Winrock International of Morrilton, Ark. and Arlington, Va. have signed a contract related to an electrification project in the Philippines.
Winrock has an Agreement with the United States Agency for International Development to support 160 barangays (communities) in the provinces of Tawi Tawi and Basilan, southwest of Mindanao, and WorldWater has been selected as a sub-contractor for an early assessment phase.
The contract calls for WorldWater, a solar and water engineering company, to research and prepare a report that characterizes the water resource and sanitation conditions of the respective regions, determine potential solutions for improved water resources development, and identify associated costs and implementation requirements.
The work to be performed by WorldWater is to be concluded by July 3, 2003. The amount payable to WorldWater under the contract is $86,935.
