DALLAS, June 8, 2001 — Electric & Gas Technology, Inc. announced today that its subsidiary Atmospheric & Magnetics Technology, Inc. has completed the design and fabrication of two mobile 50 gallon per day (189 liters) atmospheric water generating units for delivery to United Arab Emirates.
These specially designed Watermakers are completely self contained, operated by a diesel powered electric generator with all components mounted on a heavy duty mobile trailer. ELGT management stated that this is a "first of a kind" type mobile unit that may be driven to any site location and produces purified healthy drinking water derived from the atmosphere on a continuous basis to produce at least 1,500 gallons or approximately 6,000 liters per month.
ELGT has previously announced that it is actively pursuing and aiding a Pakistan business group in the application for Foreign Aid to install a 3,000,000 gallon per month Atmospheric water system for Karachi, the largest city in Pakistan.
A 100 gallon per day (378 liters) unit and six 5 gallon per day (18 liter) watermakers have also been sent to Karachi, purchased by the Pakistan Group for Proof of Performance of the water generating system to government and industrial personnel.
It has been calculated that the cost of producing the healthy purified drinking water is less than an equivalent 10 cents per liter. In addition the 50 gallon (189 liter) per day unit previously purchased and sent to Jedda, Saudi Arabia has been reported by Wamco, the customer, that the unit is very successfully producing more than the rated 50 gallons per day drinking water from the "air we breathe".
ELGT calls the watermaker system "the infinite fountain of water".
