American Water Works Co. announced that it had completed the sale of its Salisbury Water Supply Company to the Salisbury, Mass. for $11.5 million plus outstanding account receivables.

VOORHEES, NJ, October 5, 2001 — American Water Works Co. announced that it had completed the sale of its Salisbury Water Supply Company to the Town of Salisbury, Massachusetts for $11.5 million plus outstanding account receivables.

With annual revenues of $1.4 billion, American Water Works Company is the nation's largest publicly traded enterprise devoted exclusively to the water and wastewater business.
