WaterChef lands first order from C.TradeUSA/SSWM for perchlorate treatment
GLEN HEAD, N.Y., July 16, 2004 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- David A. Conway, president and CEO of WaterChef Inc. announced the company received an initial order from C.TradeUSA and Sub Surface Water Management of Delaware Inc. for its patented PureSafe Water Station, configured for treatment of perchlorate.
WaterChef was selected by C. Trade, Inc. U.S.A., acting as systems integrator, as the water purification equipment vendor to work with SSWM's patent pending biotechnology systems for the development of specific, cost-effective solutions for reduction of perchlorate and other water contaminants of concern. Human exposure to perchlorate is associated with increased risk of cancer and disruption of thyroid hormone levels affecting fetuses, infants, children and the elderly.

The PureSafe Water Station is a self-contained, six-stage water purification system that produces up to 115,000 gallons of clean, healthy water from any source. than one-half a penny per gallon. The PureSafe destroys all living pathogens and handles a broad range of organic and inorganic water contaminants, producing pure water for less than half a penny per gallon. In addition to the core version of the PureSafe Water Station, WaterChef also markets versions of the PureSafe for ocean water desalination, heavy metals removal and the remediation of arsenic contaminated water.
