The Plumbing Efficiency Research Coalition (PERC) has released a study examining "The Drainline Transport of Solid Waste in Buildings." The study provides insights into the performance of building drains and addresses opportunities for future research. The study was designed to examine how building drains perform as flows from plumbing fixtures, appliances and commercial equipment are reduced and toilet fixtures become increasingly stressed to singularly transport solid waste to sewers.
