HEMET, Calif., Feb. 21, 2003 -- The current construction of McCrometer's new test facility will bring a wealth of added benefits to the production of the McCrometer family of flow measurement products.

The company's new fully-automated system incorporates two measurement standards; a comparative system for high volume production of the impeller product lines and a 40,000 lb. weight system for high precision testing of the V-Cone and Ultra Mag products.

McCrometer's new test facility utilizes two VFD driven close-loop systems with a maximum rate of over 3,000 gpm for long duration, constant flow testing. All McCrometer products will benefit from the robust design of the new facility. Products tested will range from the following: two impeller line sizes 2"-12", right angle impeller meters sizes 6"-14", UltraMag products sizes 2"-12", Wafer-Cone meters sizes 2"-6" and V-Cone meters sizes 2"-14".

"We anticipate the production rate of our flow meters to significantly increase as our new test facility becomes completed," said Gregg McCall, vice president of marketing for McCrometer. "Not only will our customers benefit from quicker delivery of our product, but the improved testing abilities will help us provide an even stronger and more accurate flow measurement product."

McCrometer's technical innovation and commitment to production quality has resulted in the world's most popular and highly regarded flow meter products including the V-Cone, Wafer-Cone, Mc Propeller, Water Specialties Propeller, Ultra Mag, and the SK Variable Area meters. Their reputation as an industry expert is built on a wealth of experience in the design, manufacture and testing of flow measurement equipment. McCrometer's new test facility will only strengthen this position.
