CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, CA, Nov. 3, 2010 -- Authorities in Contra Costa County are investigating what could have caused several water main explosions overnight.

It appears that a pressure surge could have been to blame for a number of water breaks in areas of Concord, Pleasant Hill and Walnut Creek.

Crews are working quickly to respond to and repair the breaks.
