Sherwin-Williams Protective & Marine announced that it is now accepting entry submissions for its annual Impact Award, which recognizes outstanding water and wastewater projects completed in North America.
The Impact Award honors application contractors, specifiers, and owners for excellence in delivering long-term asset protection for the wide array of systems and structures that make up North America’s water and wastewater infrastructure.
Any new, restored and/or rehabilitated water-related structure that used Sherwin-Williams Protective & Marine coatings from June 1, 2021, through July 31, 2022, is eligible for the award. Such projects include water treatment, water storage, water transmission, sewer collection, and wastewater treatment structures, and are not limited to highly visible structures.
The Impact Award’s winning projects will be announced October 11, 2022.
Clean water flowing from our taps doesn’t happen by accident. Neither does safely returning wastewater to treatment plants for processing. It takes a lot of hard work and dedication to establish and maintain the necessary infrastructure for these critical utility needs. That’s why Sherwin-Williams gets excited about highlighting some outstanding projects each year that are helping to ensure fresh water access and environmentally safe wastewater removal. The Impact Award demonstrates how these projects — and the contractors, specifiers, and asset owners responsible for them — are helping to enhance public safety and extend infrastructure life.
An independent panel of respected water industry experts will determine winners. Judges will rate entries on:
- The difficulty of the submitted project
- Challenges overcome by the participants provided to the owner
- How satisfied the parties were of the outcome
- Overall uniqueness of the project
Applications for the prestigious award will be accepted through September 2, 2022.
