WASHINGTON -- The White House issued report cards for all 50 states on Monday.
The Biden administration released fact sheets, highlighting grades for 12 key areas of infrastructure that would be addressed under the American Jobs Plan. The $2.3 trillion proposal calls for investment in traditional infrastructure, including $111 billion for water and wastewater.
The state-by-state reports offer assessments of how each state is faring in terms of roads and bridges, public transportation, resilient infrastructure, drinking water, housing, broadband, caregiving, child care, manufacturing, home energy, clean energy jobs and veterans health, The Hill reports.
No state received a grade higher than a C+, with most grades falling between a C+ and a D-. A handful of states, including Arkansas and Wyoming, did not receive a grade.
"The fact sheets highlight the number of bridges and miles of road in each state in poor condition, the percentage of households without access to broadband, the billions of dollars required for water infrastructure, among other infrastructure needs," Biden's press office wrote in a press release.
