NJ regulators approve Suez buy of United Water

NEW YORK -- United Water Resources Inc. a provider of water and wastewater services, said on Thursday its acquisition by French water company Suez Lyonnaise des Eaux has been approved, according to a report from Reuters News Service.

NEW YORK -- United Water Resources Inc. a provider of water and wastewater services, said on Thursday its acquisition by French water company Suez Lyonnaise des Eaux has been approved, according to a report from Reuters News Service.

The company said the New Jersey Board of Public Utilities approved the acquisition by Suez Lyonnaise, a Paris-based private infrastructure services company.

United Water expects to receive final approval from the New York State Public Service Commission later this month, and it anticipates closing the deal soon after.
