BREA, CA, March 3, 2008 -- "And still going strong." That's the usual statement you hear from city engineers where Ameron's T-Lock® Protective Lining system has been installed. And it's an unusual claim to make about any product that was introduced more than 6 decades ago and has performed as designed, with no formula changes, over that span of time and use.
First introduced in Los Angeles and San Diego (installations still in place), Ameron's 60-year-old T-Lock system is still protecting concrete pipe and structures today in many locations around the world -- in such diverse metro settings as St. Louis, Missouri, Cairo, Egypt, Perth, Australia, Hamburg, Germany and Honolulu, Hawaii.
The T-Ribbed PVC lining material is designed to protect new concrete trunk sewers and interceptors, cast in place structures and monolithic tunnels against the long term ravages of hydrogen sulfide and other forms of corrosion.
"We installed our first T-Lock lined sewer in 1952 and it's still performing as predicted. The amazing thing is that the flexibility and weld-ability are still like brand new. Over the years we have specified T-Lock in all of our sanitation sewers, from 42 to 120 inches in diameter. We now have over 250 miles of T-Lock lined pipe in service."
-- Tom Dawes, Retired Director of Engineering, Orange County Sanitation District, Fountain Valley, CA
"Over the past 60 years Ameron T-Lock has been used successfully throughout the world to prevent corrosion in concrete pipe and structures in a sanitary environment. No other system of corrosion protection can match T-Lock's durability and performance."
