DLEC announces key engineering additions
PHOENIX, January 11 2006 -- DL Engineering & Controls Inc. (DLEC) is pleased to announce three additions to its rapidly growing Arizona office:
Eric Hardwick, P.E., is a registered professional engineer in Arizona and Washington. Joining the firm as a senior engineering manager, Hardwick will be responsible for directing the activities of the firm's engineering division in Arizona. Eric graduated from Clemson University with a bachelor of science in electrical engineering (B.S.E.E.), and brings with him over 13 years of commercial, industrial, and nuclear electrical engineering experience, including responsibility for design release of electrical construction documents for a multi-billion-dollar design-build project. Most recently Hardwick was employed as a senior electrical engineer for Bechtel where, in addition to supervision responsibilities, he designed electrical nuclear-related safety systems and processes.
Hong Nguyen received her B.S.E.E. from McMaster University. She is registered as a professional engineer in Ontario, Canada, and will be receiving her Arizona registration in the near future. Hong has extensive experience in the design, construction, and programming of power distribution and I&C systems in the water and wastewater industries. She is also a competent PLC/RTU programmer with Intellution iFix certification and experience programming Rockwell and Bristol Babcock equipment, among others. Nguyen served as a project engineer and project manager for the City of Hamilton, Ontario, for 14 years and was most recently employed as a senior electrical and controls engineer with American Water Services. Hong joins the firm as a project manager.
Also coming aboard as a project manager in the Arizona office is Howard Sun. Sun holds his B.S.E.E., with honors, from Arizona State University and is registered as an engineer-in-training. He was previously employed by Keller Equipment Company, and has extensive experience with the design of instrumentation and control (I&C) systems, remote telemetry unit (RTU) systems, and programmable logic controller (PLC) panels. Howard also has experience working with equipment from a variety of industrial controls manufacturers, including Allen-Bradley, Bristol-Babcock, Modicon, Cutler-Hammer, and Toshiba.
