John Lucey joins HDR
PITTSBURGH, PA, Feb. 14, 2006 -- John Lucey has joined HDR as the national director of industrial water and wastewater, based in the company's Pittsburgh office. His responsibilities include strategic planning and overall development of HDR's industrial water and wastewater business. He also will be responsible for developing municipal water/wastewater design build projects in the eastern United States.
Prior to joining HDR, Lucey was president of Chester Engineers, then, after its acquisition by USFilter, was executive vice president/general manager of USFilter Engineering & Construction. He has nearly 30 years of experience as a consulting engineer and design/builder, managing both industrial and municipal water and wastewater projects.
Lucey is active in the Water Environment Federation, Water Environment Research Foundation, American Water Works Association Research Foundation, Design-Build Institute of America, and the Association for Iron and Steel Technology.
Lucey holds a bachelor's degree in water resources engineering from Penn State, and a master's degree in environmental engineering from the University of Pittsburgh.
