PUC, DEP officials tour local water infrastructure projects
BRYN MAWR, PA, June 8, 2007 -- Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission (PUC) Vice Chairman James Cawley, PUC staff members and officials from the state Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) recently visited the area for a firsthand look at water system upgrades. The tour included a water main cleaning and lining project along Farwood Road in Lower Merion Township, Montgomery County, and the recently constructed two million-gallon water storage tank in Upper Uwchlan Township, Chester County. Both upgrades are part of Aqua Pennsylvania Inc.'s 2007 capital improvement program. The company hosted the tour for the state officials.
