• The Peerless parking lot becomes a construction site for the day
INDIANAPOLIS, IN, Oct. 15, 2007 -- On Oct. 2nd the parking lot at Peerless Pump Company's Corporate Headquarters was transformed into a construction zone. More than (120) Peerless employees worked in partnership with Habitat for Humanity to construct the frame of a 1,100 square foot home. The house was completely framed and delivered to the home site in less than ten-hours. The three bedroom, two bathroom home will be complete in mid-November and be home to a single mother and her two young children, and will located on the city's near south side.
"This was a great event for both the community and Peerless. With office and production personnel working side by side with company executives and Habitat team members, it became a great team building activity, as well as a lot of fun. We look forward to working with Habitat for Humanity again," said Annette Paysinger, Director of Peerless' Employee Activities Committee.
The Habitat project comes on the heels of this summer's Peerless/Camp Riley Benefit Golf Outing, which saw Peerless employees, partners and friends raise $50,000 for Riley Hospital for Children's summer camp. This brings the eight-year total donations from the outing to more the $215,000.
