PITTSBURGH, July 30, 2004 (BUSINESS WIRE) Underground Solutions Inc. (UGSI) has entered into a license agreement with NPL Construction Co. for NPL to expand its customer offerings to include UGSI's Duraliner and Fusible PVC product lines.
Phoenix-based NPL, with over 2,000 U.S. employees, has been providing innovative turnkey installation, replacement and maintenance of distribution infrastructure systems to major utilities and municipalities for over 35 years. Originally serving the natural gas industry, NPL has expanded its services to include electric, fiber, telecom, cable, water and waste water. It maintains operations facilities throughout Arizona and in Colorado, Georgia, Illinois, Kansas, Maryland, Minnesota, Nevada, California, Texas, and Virginia.
Underground Solutions continues to develop unique and practical technologies focused exclusively on the underground infrastructure rehabilitation industry. Total spending on this industry over the next 20 years is projected by the EPA and various agencies to exceed $1 trillion. To date, the company holds or has pending 13 various patents, such as for Duraliner � a unique process that allows replacement of deteriorated water lines and other pressure pipes with minimal excavation.
