MILBURN, NJ, Sept. 24, 2004 -- The consulting firm of Hatch Mott McDonald was recently named "Consultant of the Year" by the Florida Chapter of the American Public Works Association (APWA). Nominated by Pat Overton, an APWA committee member and public works director for Escambia County, Fla., Hatch Mott MacDonald's involvement in numerous public works projects throughout Northwest Florida and its significant community involvement were cited. "Hatch Mott MacDonald is always there for us when we need them." Overton said.

The American Public Works Association - Florida Branch, is the largest APWA chapter in the United States with almost 2,000 members. The award was presented at the 2004 Annual Meeting of the APWA, Florida Chapter and a recent Escambia County Board of Commissioners Meeting. Hatch Mott MacDonald Vice Presidents, Mike Broussard and Wayne Newsome, accepted the award on the firm's behalf at the Escambia County Board of Commissioners meeting.
