Water Center Gets New Home
Colorado State University dedicated its newly remodeled Engineering Building on October 13, 2000. From the homepage at cwrri.colostate.edu, select the August 2000 newsletter link. This issue of the Colorado Water newsletter features and illustrates the building's hydrologic cycle design and symbolism. An example of the Parshall Flume, developed in 1925 by CSU professor Ralph Parshall, anchors the focal point of a fountain. Water moves through the CSU Water Center's plaza and illustrates spillways, sheet flow, channels and various water projects. The plaza's walkway design shows various irrigation patterns, and more. The Colorado Water Resources Research Institute web site home page is a portal to a wealth of information, links and archives.
