SADDLEBROOK, NJ, Dec. 7, 2005 -- Dr. Russell Ford has joined MWH as National Water Practice leader, serving municipal and state clients nationwide. In this position, he is responsible for strategy, staff development and execution of water projects throughout the United States. He will perform this role from MWH's Saddlebrook office.
Ford, who holds a doctorate in environmental engineering, is a registered professional engineer in five states and a licensed water treatment plant operator with more than 20 years of experience in developing, evaluating and designing water treatment processes. He has a strong knowledge of current state and federal regulations and extensive experience in advanced drinking water treatment processes. A recognized expert in the water industry, he was recently appointed to the New Jersey Drinking Water Quality Institute, a 15-member organization responsible for recommending drinking water standards to the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection.
Ford's previous experience includes serving as a senior environmental engineer at a municipal water utility, giving him a first-hand perspective into the challenges facing municipal and state clients today.
