OAKLAND, CA, April 7, 2005 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- The California Water Environment Association (CWEA) will hold its 77th annual conference in Palm Springs on April 12-15.
More than 1,800 water and environmental professionals and exhibitors are expected to attend to study environmental issues affecting the state of California. The Opening Session, which will be held on Wednesday, April 13th, at 9:00 a.m., will feature a five-speaker series on the Salton Sea Restoration Project. Ron Enzweiler, Salton Sea Authority executive director, will be one of the speakers. Other notable guests include Mayor of Palm Springs Ronald Olden, 45th Congressional District Director Marc Troast, WEF President Lynn Orphan and CWEA President Steven Agor.
"Our work makes us a critical link in the water cycle. We are charged with protecting the water environment for ourselves and future generations. This is not a responsibility we take lightly, and one that takes `Major League Training' so we continually improve the already top-notch service wastewater professionals provide," said CWEA President Steven Agor.
