CHICAGO, Feb. 9, 2005 -- The 14th International Trade Fair for Water, Sewage, Waste Disposal and Recycling (IFAT 2005), which will run April 25-29 in Munich, Germany, will feature an expanded program including innovative sector-specific products and state-of-the-art technology in the water, sewage and waste-disposal industries.
Organizer Messe München International anticipates an increase in the number of international exhibitors for this year's show as the event, one of the world's leading trade show for waste disposal and the environment, will feature an expanded range of exhibition themes and a larger program of related events, including new segments on noise reduction, soundproofing and air-pollution control. The water supply and waste disposal categories, for instance, are being expanded to reflect ongoing globalization as well as recent trends toward private service providers and the use of innovative hardware. This year, the exhibits will cover 1.78 million square feet at the New Munich Trade Fair Centre.
"IFAT is one of the world's most comprehensive shows, where you'll find practical solutions to problems in all fields of water, sewage and waste disposal, recycling and environmental technology," said Eugen Egetenmeir, deputy managing director of Messe München International.
The event has become one of the biggest global resources for visitors from the public sector, business, industry, local government and private service providers to discover new developments and gain the latest market information on environmental protection. IFAT 2002 welcomed over 97,000 visitors from 121 countries marking an increase in foreign attendance of 70% over IFAT 1999, with U.S. attendance up by 110%.
To help visitors find the companies and products most meaningful to their business, IFAT 2005's exhibit halls will be arranged by major product category:
-- Water and sewage
-- Refuse disposal and recycling
-- Public cleansing and winter road services
-- Decontamination of old sites
