TORONTO, ON Canada, Jan. 16, 2002 -- Ozolutions Inc., an international marketer of water treatment systems, today announced it planned to enter the multibillion-dollar U.S. water treatment market.
The company, which just opened a U.S. office in New York City, said it will be actively exploring product needs, market demand and distribution channels in the United States.
Ozolutions has also retained the services of Bill Hurley, a highly experienced industry executive, to conduct a detailed analysis of US market opportunities, to help introduce Ozolutions' current product lineup and identify product acquisitions to meet current and future customer needs.
Bill Hurley is currently CEO of Specdex, a Berkeley, California technology firm that provides assisted selling solutions for wholesale and distribution companies in North America.
The US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has introduced tougher standards for water quality. The agency is also bringing a wider range of contaminants under scrutiny. One regulatory concern is focused on determining the allowable amount of by products used in various water treatment systems and their possible environmental impacts.
Ozolutions current water treatment technologies, ozonation and water activation are both chemical free and do not introduce by products into water supplies. There is growing evidence that institutions, as well as individual consumers, want to be sure that what they drink is safe and that the methods used to treat water do not themselves create environmental problems.
Ozolutions is aligned with two companies international companies, Hankin Ozone Systems Limited (www.hankinozone.com) and ELCE International (www.elce.ch) that continue to invest heavily in the research and development required for Ozolutions to compete effectively in the US marketplace. Ozolutions intends to focus on successful niche applications that have achieved customer acceptance and created a competitive advantage for its technologies.
