PASADENA, Calif., Sept. 4, 2002 -- Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. announced recently that it is part of the winning Solutions to Environmental Problems, Inc. (STEP) team that received a 5-year, $20 million contract with the U.S. Navy Facilities Engineering Command--Southern Division.
Under this multiple-award environmental contract, Jacobs will assist STEP in providing remediation services at sites in Mississippi, Tennessee, Kentucky, and South Carolina. Projects include remedial actions, removal actions, pilot and treatability studies, operations & maintenance, and expedited/emergency response services.
In making the announcement, Jacobs Group Vice President Jim Thiesing stated, "This contract continues our 12-year relationship with the Navy as a provider of environmental services. In addition, we are pleased to support STEP and are proud of our Mentor-Protege relationship with this outstanding small business."
