PASADENA, Calif., Dec. 23, 2002 -- Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. announced that they have been selected to receive a contract from the Air Force Center for Environmental Excellence (AFCEE), Brooks City Base, Texas.
Jacobs is one of several awardees for this program which has a total base value of $1.1 billion. The contract has a provision that permits AFCEE to increase the contract value by 250 percent to meet increased customer demands during the five-year ordering period.
This multiyear architectural and engineering contract (4P A-E) supports the four pillars of AFCEE: environmental restoration, environmental conservation and planning, environmental quality, and design and construction. Jacobs will provide the full range of Title I, Title II, and other architect-engineer services to support environmental and traditional programs on Air Force installations worldwide.
Jacobs has provided a broad range of environmental engineering, design, and remediation services to AFCEE since 1991, spanning 10 different contracts with awards totalling $900 million. Jacobs is one of AFCEE's largest environmental engineering and remediation contractors.
In making the announcement, Jacobs Group Vice President Jim Thiesing stated, "We are pleased to continue our long-standing and successful relationship with the Air Force, and to continue to support AFCEE's mission of providing environmental support on Air Force programs."
