STERLING, Va., Feb. 20, 2002 -- Robin Henderson, Vice President of Sales and Marketing, announced today that John Skaggs has joined Sutron Corp. as Sales Manager for the Western United States.
He will be Sutron's primary contact in California, Utah, Nevada, Colorado, Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, Arizona, New Mexico, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota, Alaska and Hawaii.
"Sutron is extremely fortunate to have John join us," Henderson stated. "Not only does he have many years experience in wireless remote monitoring and control applications, but his expertise in wireless communications systems and networks, including trunked radio systems, contributes tremendously toward expanding this important market for Sutron."
A graduate of the University of Montana and a resident of Bountiful, Utah, near Salt Lake City, Skaggs said, "It's a great opportunity. It combines two favorite avocations: traveling all over the Western United States and using advanced monitoring and control systems to solve environmental problems. I'm looking forward to working with all of Sutron's customers from Walla Walla to Carlsbad."
Sutron is a major supplier of real-time environmental remote monitoring and control systems for several Federal Agencies, including the US Geological Survey, the National Ocean Service, a division of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, the Army Corps of Engineers, and the National Weather Service.
For 26 years Sutron designed and manufactured communications equipment has been operating unattended in remote, inhospitable places and under the most extreme environmental conditions on the planet.
With over 25,000 environmental monitoring stations presently in operation globally, Sutron is a major worldwide supplier of real-time data collection systems that include telemetry, sensors, and data management software.
