BUFFALO, N.Y., March 10, 2003 -- EPA's Office of Water, Office of Science and Technology, Engineering and Analysis Division awarded a fixed-rate, indefinite quantity contract to E & E's Analytical Services Center (ASC) for analytical support services of multimedia, multi-concentration samples for volatile and semivolatile organics.
EPA will use this contract to support various studies, a majority of which will involve development of industrial discharge regulations. The ASC will provide analyses for wastewater, soil, sediment, pulp, sludge, tissue and other solid and aqueous samples.
In application for this bid, the ASC scored 94% on the proficiency test samples. The ASC also benefited by demonstrating a superior Quality Assurance program. The analytical data provided will be used to develop industrial effluent discharge regulations, which govern the disposal of pollutants from industrial sources; and as such, is required to be of the highest possible quality.
Out of a total of six bid LOTs being awarded, E & E's ASC was awarded two full and open LOTs with a total maximum dollar amount of $7,363,428.
