PORTLAND, Maine, August 19, 2003 - Delta Air Lines recently presented Woodard & Curran with its Environmental Contractor Performance Award during Delta's annual Environmental Coordinator conference.
Woodard & Curran has served as contract operator of Delta's industrial pretreatment facility in Atlanta, Georgia, for the past three years. The award recognized Woodard & Curran as Delta's top environmental contractor of the year and for its efforts in improving compliance by reducing total yearly exceedances by 99 percent; reducing chemical and maintenance costs; and overall facility improvement.
Plant Manager Derek Burton and Lab Technician Paula Coffman accepted the award at the conference, which was attended by more than 500 Delta Environmental Coordinators.
The 1-million-gallon-per-day industrial pretreatment facility serves Delta's Technical Operations Center and treats two diverse, segregated waste streams at the Hartsfield International Airport.
