PASADENA, Calif., Jan. 22, 2001 — Montgomery Watson Laboratories, a division of Montgomery Watson Americas, Inc., has been awarded a one-year, $1M contract with the Arizona Department of Environmental Quality to conduct the Monitoring Assistance Program (MAP2001) for small system drinking water compliance analysis throughout the State of Arizona for 2001.
Commencing immediately, Montgomery Watson Laboratories will be responsible for sample collection and analysis for over 400 drinking water utilities in the State. The program involves quarterly and annual testing for these systems to ensure compliance with U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Safe Drinking Water Act mandates.
The MAP2001 is the second $1 million plus drinking water contract awarded to Montgomery Watson Laboratories in the last three months. The first project awarded by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) involves an up to 5-year, $11M contract to provide analytical support for the Unregulated Contaminant Monitoring Rule (UCMR) for small systems.
