October 26, 2001 — The Environmental Protection Agency launched a new web site on EPA's involvement in New York City and Washington, DC following the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon.
On this web site, EPA lists current air quality and water quality monitoring data for asbestos, particulate matter, PCBs, and drinking water at both the World Trade Center and Pentagon.
EPA also answers frequently asked questions about air and water quality around these areas and provides a link to press releases and other new stories related to EPA's involvement in testing and clean up efforts at the World Trade Center and Pentagon.
