• Bob Hausler joins Instrumentation Business Unit in global role for marketing and strategic planning.
WARMINSTER, PA, May 31, 2006 -- ABB announced today that Robert N. (Bob) Hausler has been appointed Vice-President Marketing and Strategic Planning for Instrumentation in its Automation Products Division. He will be based at ABB's US headquarters for Instrumentation in Warminster, PA.
In his new role, Hausler will immediately focus on top line growth, portfolio management, and strategic planning. He will drive product development and market launches which clearly show the ABB advantage from the customer perspective, as well as aggressively position ABB Instrumentation products against the competition.
"Bob has a proven track record of bringing successful solutions to market; and his strong background in control systems helps him explain and promote the bottom-line benefits of ABB's combined instrumentation and control system solution to our customers," said Josef Guth, head of ABB's Instrumentation business unit. Hausler is an automation industry veteran; he first joined Fischer & Porter as an engineering co-op in 1979. During his career with F&P, Elsag Bailey, and ABB, he has held positions of increasing responsibility in project engineering, sales engineering, product management, business management, and marketing. His most recent assignment was vice-president of global 800xA systems marketing in ABB's Process Automation division. He holds a BS degree in Electrical Engineering from Drexel University in Philadelphia, PA, USA.
