CHICAGO, Dec. 4, 2006 -- CH2M Hill today announced that Dale Sands has joined the company as vice president of client development within its industrial client group and will lead the development of strategic services to meet emerging client needs. Sands has more than 30 years of experience, most recently in senior leadership roles for leading environmental engineering and multinational firms providing global services. He is based in CH2M Hill's Chicago office.
Most recently, Sands was principal and director for a global environmental services provider where he led the strategic account program for the Americas. Additionally, he provided global leadership for both automotive and chemical clients in his most recent position. Sands was previously employed at CH2M Hill in the late 1980s. "Dale will lead our client development program working across the firm to leverage our services to meet the global needs of our industrial clients," said Steve Gelman, operations director for industrial systems.
Sands has a diversified background in environmental and engineering services including the development of environmental management systems, the global management of large-scale programs, and the development of strategic services to assist clients with their emerging needs.
Sands has an MBA from California State University and an M.S. in environmental sciences from the University of Michigan. He also holds a B.S. in Chemistry from Central Michigan University. Sands has published or presented more than 30 papers in various financial and environmental business-to-business publications and professional conferences.
