ROCKFORD, IL, May 17, 2006 -- Aqua-Aerobic Systems Inc. celebrated its $4 million dollar expansion and renovation with an Open House on April 27. Over 500 people attended including employees and their families, vendors, and local dignitaries. Doug Scott, former Rockford Mayor and current Illinois Environmental Protection Agency Director, was a guest along with Loves Park Mayor Darryl Lindberg. The event was a success and only attributed to the company's desire for a higher local profile.

Aqua-Aerobic's expansion was needed in order to accommodate its growing business, derived from a demand for the company's innovative application of treatment technologies. The company invests 25% back into research and development every year to remain a leader in the treatment industry. The expansion added 25,000 square feet for engineering, seminar facilities, meeting areas, employee lunchroom, and executive offices. The renovation converted 4800 square feet of existing office space to manufacturing, as well as remodeled the remaining 116,000 square feet of office area. Aqua-Aerobic's new facilities are expected to support additional company growth over the next 10 years.

The new seminar and meeting facilities will accommodate a 15% growth in attendees for technical product and process seminars. Currently, about 300 wastewater treatment professionals from around the world attend the seminars annually, April through October. The high-tech broadcasting capability of the new seminar auditorium rivals that of many universities allowing Aqua's clients to access live or archived broadcasts through the company's website. The auditorium seats 50 and each seat has power and internet access.

Aqua-Aerobic Systems (www.aqua-aerobic.com) was founded in 1969 as an aerator company and to-date specializes in wastewater treatment solutions for biological processes, filtration and membranes for municipal and industrial markets worldwide. This is the second expansion for the company. John D. Brubaker is board chairman and Robert J. Wimmer is president and CEO.
