Nov. 17, 2010 -- A new study written for the U.S. Forest Service's Pacific Southwest Research Station says Lake Tahoe could see its regional snowpack decline by as much as 60 percent over the next century. With that, increased flooding and prolonged periods of drought could be more likely and could indicate a potential water supply disaster for the region.
