Tribal water settlement OK'd by Senate
PHOENIX, AZ, Nov. 21, 2010 -- The U.S. Senate has authorized more than $126 million as part of a water settlement with the White Mountain Apache Tribe in Arizona. The money will fund water delivery infrastructure.
The settlement also reserves 52,000 acre feet of water for the tribe, which can lease as much as half that amount to cities in the metro Phoenix area.
