BARCELONA, Spain, Aug. 14, 2007 -- Laboratorio Dr. Oliver Rodés, Spain's premier water testing laboratory for over 100 years, has signed an agreement with NSF International making LDOR an official NSF laboratory partner.
Founded in 1902, LDOR was selected as an NSF laboratory partner for its reputation of excellence and commitment to customer service. NSF International is a not-for-profit, U.S.-based organization with more than 60 years of experience. As a World Health Organization Collaborating Centre for Food and Water Safety and Indoor Environment, NSF independently tests and certifies food and water products worldwide.
Going forward, NSF customers may elect to have their bottled water and beverage products tested against European Union requirements by LDOR. The LDOR / NSF partnership offers many benefits to NSF customers located across Europe, North Africa, and the Middle East. It will allow bottled water and beverage companies to test and certify bottled water and beverage products against European Union requirements. Ultimately, the partnership will save companies considerable time and money due to LDOR's central location in Barcelona, Spain.

"Not only will the NSF Certification Mark differentiate a bottler's product in the marketplace, but it will also indicate that their products meet rigorous European safety and quality requirements."

Available immediately, LDOR and NSF will offer testing against European requirements for bottled waters and natural mineral waters for chemical, microbiological, and radiological aspects.
Laboratorio Dr. Oliver Rodés serves hundreds of companies across Europe in the bottled water, pharmaceutical, and waste water industries. Since 1902, LDOR has been recognized as Spain's foremost bottled water and natural mineral authority. Currently, LDOR conducts testing for more than 100 different trade marks of bottled water across Europe. Jordi Oliver Rodés, the great-grandson of the laboratory founder, continues the family tradition as general manager of the company.
