Implementation replaces disparate legacy systems with consolidated utility billing solution.

MCLEAN, VA, Jan. 30, 2007 -- BearingPoint Inc., one of the world's largest management and technology consulting firms, today announced the completion of a state-of-the-art customer information system based on the Oracle|SPL enterprise revenue management solution for the Orange County Utilities Department, Orange County, FL. The new system has resulted in enhanced customer service, more efficient revenue management and greater accounting efficiency. By replacing six outdated, inefficient, and unsupported billing systems, BearingPoint was able to provide the utility one comprehensive database, eliminating most duplication issues and enabling Orange County to save its customers money and offer new tools for more efficient revenue management.

The new system provides real time access to the utility's financial and customer data, generating a newly formatted utility bill for over 124,000 accounts, 175,000 customers and approximately 1.5 million yearly bills. The system is also providing greater efficiency for account maintenance, accounting service, water, waste water, reclaim water and solid waste data.

As a result of this successful implementation, Orange County also retained BearingPoint to build out the next phase of the project, which will include automatic credit card billing, workflow development and additional business process re-engineering, as well as development of additional system interfaces.
