PASADENA, CA, Nov. 27, 2007 -- Tetra Tech Inc. announced today that it was awarded a contract with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to provide engineering and scientific services for watershed management programs nationwide. Tetra Tech is one of four contractors that were awarded indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contracts with individual ceiling values of $75 million over the next five years.
Tetra Tech has provided continuous support to EPA in watershed management and protection programs since 1987. Under the new contract, Tetra Tech will support EPA's efforts to strengthen state and tribal watershed management, focus programs on threatened and impaired U.S. waters, and solve nonpoint source pollution problems through private actions.
Tetra Tech will help calculate Total Maximum Daily Loads (TMDLs), perform monitoring design and data analysis, and develop tools for nonpoint source pollution controls, including engineering, costing, and operation and maintenance. In addition, Tetra Tech will support state and tribal activities, integrated spatial analysis, water quality computer modeling, software development, technical training, and public outreach.
