ROCKVILLE, MD, Dec. 12, 2007 -- Systalex Corporation, a leading information and IT solutions provider and the 4th ranked Small Technology Business in the DC metro area by the Washington Business Journal, today announced the award of two separate contracts with the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to deliver technical management, development and maintenance support services to the Office of Administration and Resources Management and Office of Water.

The first contract provides Data Marts support services to EPA's Office of Administration and Resources Management (OARM), a new office to the Systalex customer base. The OARM Data Marts project is designed to provide EPA staff and managers with tools for fast and efficient access to data currently stored in OARM systems. This contract covers continued development and maintenance of the OARM Data Marts, including project management, updating data and reporting software, maintaining data and Extract Transfer and Load (ETL) process, system life cycle documentation services, and training services. Systalex is the prime contractor for the OARM Data Marts project on a team that includes Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC). The contract includes one base year and one option year and is worth nearly $3 million.

The second is a five-year contract in which Systalex is a subcontractor to RTI International, supporting a range of research projects for EPA Office of Water's National Watershed Protection Program (NWPP). The RTI team is one of four prime contractors selected to compete for nearly $75 million in watershed research projects. As part of the RTI team, Systalex is delivering technical project management and database support services on an indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity basis.

"Systalex continues to thrive and grow at EPA thanks to the high quality, high value work we have been delivering for years," says Weipo Liao, President and CEO of Systalex. "And, working with such industry leaders as SAIC and RTI, we're able to ensure a continued, mutually beneficial relationship with EPA for many years to come."

Founded in 1993, Systalex Corporation is an 8(a) certified, minority-owned, small disadvantaged business that provides information and federal financial management analysis, advice and services to government agencies.
