Houston wastewater plants win NACWA awards

KATY, TEXAS -- Inframark, LLC, announced that four of the City of Houston’s wastewater treatment plants (WWTPs) have won Peak Performance Awards from the National Association of Clean Water Agencies (NACWA). These awards recognize NACWA member agency facilities for excellence in permit compliance. Inframark has been in a partnership with the City of Houston for the operation of the facilities for over 20 years.

“We are very proud of our partnership with the City of Houston,” said Inframark’s Texas Region Manager Ryan Quigley. “The quality of this partnership is recognized by the accolades presented by the NACWA.”

Specifically, Kingwood’s Cedar Bayou WWTP received the prestigious Platinum Award, which recognizes a 100% compliance record for five consecutive years. The Forest Grove WWTP won a Gold Award, which is presented to facilities with no permit violations for the entire calendar year. The company’s Kingwood West and West Lake Houston WWTPs each won Silver Awards.

“Recognizing the achievements of these fantastic people are what the NACWA Peak Performance Awards are all about,” said Inframark’s Area Manager Jon Dawson. “These are essential personnel that go to work every day, rain or shine, and work through hurricanes and pandemics. They are the heart and soul of our commitment to provide safe wastewater treatment for our communities.”
