Cheryl Porter is the chief operations officer for Great Lakes Water Authority and is the newest president for the American Water Works Association. In this video interview, WaterWorld Editorial Director Bob Crossen talks with Porter about her vision for the association, the biggest issues facing the water industry from her vantage point and how the business of water will evolve over her term.
Porter accepted the gavel as president of AWWA on June 13. Upon accepting the gavel, Porter noted she is the first woman of color and the first African American to lead the organization as president. Read more about Porter in the news release below.
