ZENON announces $6 million in orders for Alberta and British Columbia

June 27, 2002
ZENON Environmental, a provider of membrane-based water treatment systems, has announced two orders totaling about $6 million from Canadian clients.

OAKVILLE, Ontario, June 27, 2002 - The Fraser Valley Regional District has chosen ZENON Environmental, a provider of membrane-based water treatment, to supply its ZeeWeed® membrane technology as an expansion to the existing conventional drinking water plant.

Valued at approximately $5 million, the new extension will supply superior quality drinking water to the City of Abbotsford and the Community of Mission, just outside of Vancouver, British Columbia.

At this point, water from nearby Norrish Creek is only receiving chlorine treatment. Once ZENON's technology is installed by the summer of 2003, these communities will all be benefiting from the advantages of membranes to ensure a continued supply of safe, clean drinking water.

ZENON has also been awarded a contract for two ZeeWeed drinking water plants in the communities of Hamlet of Smith and Canyon Creek, Alberta valued in excess of $1 million. One of the plants will be replacing an existing conventional water treatment facility, while the other is an upgrade to the existing plant.

ZENON is a provider of membrane products and services for water purification, wastewater treatment and water reuse. Chosen as one of Canada's Top 100 Employers for the second consecutive year, the ZENON group of companies operates from seven locations in North America, six in Europe, and one in each of Asia, Latin America, and the Middle East.

ZENON's products and services are marketed for a variety of municipal and industrial applications through ZENON's offices and representatives located throughout the world.
