WHITE PLAINS, NY, June 7, 2011 -- ITT Corporation has announced the appointment of two leaders to global positions for key business units.

Mike Kuchenbrod, currently head of ITT's China & India business, has been named president of the Water & Wastewater unit headquartered in Sweden with industry-leading brands such as Flygt®, Sanitaire®, Leopold®, Godwin® and Wedeco®.

Bob Wolpert, president of ITT's Flow Control business, will now assume leadership of the China & India business, in addition to his current responsibilities.

Both will report directly to Gretchen McClain, currently president of ITT Fluid and Motion Control, who will serve as the chief executive officer of a new standalone water company when it spins off from ITT later this year.

"Our planned creation of a new water company gives us a unique opportunity to build a team and structure that will bolster our global growth strategy, and I'm pleased to have leaders like Mike and Bob to step into these two key roles at this critical point in our journey," McClain said. "Both bring decades of leadership experience and a global perspective to their new positions."

Kuchenbrod, a 23-year ITT veteran, was named president of ITT China & India in 2008, and led the unification of ITT's businesses to help grow the company's commercial presence in these critical markets. Kuchenbrod spent most of his career with ITT in the Interconnect Solutions (ICS) business, ultimately becoming president. Prior to that, Kuchenbrod was head of ITT's KONI shock absorber business in the Netherlands.

Wolpert joined ITT eight years ago as head of Six Sigma and Lean for ITT's Electronic Components business, and then served as vice president and general manager of the ICS business before being named president of Flow Control in 2008. Under Wolpert's direction, ITT Flow Control has evolved into a unified enterprise driving innovation, developing exciting competencies in new products and aligning strategies with emerging market requirements. Prior to joining ITT, Wolpert spent 20 years in general management and leadership roles at several companies including Lockheed Martin and DST Systems.
