DENVER, CO, Dec. 14, 2009 -- The American Water Works Association (AWWA) announced today that registration is open for the 2010 International Symposium on Waterborne Pathogens, scheduled for May 2-4, 2010, in Manhattan Beach, California.
The fifth in a series of symposia addressing waterborne pathogens, the event will provide a comprehensive forum for the exchange of up-to-the-minute information and cutting-edge ideas relating to the critical public health issue of waterborne pathogens. Topics covered will include detection methods, emerging pathogens, risk assessment, treatment and disinfection, case studies and outbreaks, and regulatory issues.
