Carter & Burgess' names senior engineer for water, wastewater group

FORT WORTH, TX, Aug. 9, 2005 -- Terry Foyt, P.E., has transferred to Carter & Burgess' Fort Worth office where he will serve as senior project manager for the Water/Wastewater sector of the Public Works Unit.

Foyt has extensive experience in project and personnel supervision, quality control and the preparation of manpower and labor projections. He also is proficient in the preparation of project goals, scope of work outlines, budgets and schedules. Foyt's marketing experience includes preparation of proposals, work scope and fee preparation, project presentations and marketing to new clients. Foyt is currently serving as the project manager for the $7.5 million city of Stephenville Methodist Branch Storm Drainage Improvements project and the $1.1 million city of Fort Worth 36" Walnut Creek Sewer Interceptor project.

In addition, James Hotopp Jr. has completed all of the requirements in the professional engineer certification program, and he is now a registered P.E. in the state of Texas. Hotopp is an engineer with the Public Works Unit in Fort Worth.

Hotopp has significant experience in design of municipal water and sewer projects, with a background in hydraulic and sanitary sewer modeling for public and private clients; water and sewer pipeline design by all construction methods; lift station and pump station design; and steel and pre-stressed concrete water tank design. He's also performed work for several commercial developments, including the Radio Shack Corporate Campus and Victory Hall Dormitory for the University of North Texas.
