HANNOVER, Germany, Nov. 29, 2005 -- Deutsche Messe AG (DMAG) has announced it will add to Hannover Messe in 2006 a Pipeline Technology sector that will showcase a broad range of products and equipment for the design and construction of industrial pipeline and network systems as well as requisite engineering components for automation, control and maintenance. According to DMAG, Pipeline Technology will cover not only transport and distribution of such raw materials as gas, oil, waste water, water and district heating, but it will also spotlight supply of production materials and internal distribution within processing plants of bulk goods, granulates, fine dusts and other dry media.

Pipeline Technology's target audience includes senior management personnel, technical directors and buyers for industrial companies, local-authority planners, environmental officers, politicians and finance experts in three main areas: 1) Energy supply and waste disposal companies, raw material suppliers, pipeline and network operators, local authorities, municipal works and private water companies 2) Operators of industrial processing plants, typically chemicals and pharmaceuticals 3) Consultancies, financing companies and industrial/municipal pipeline investors, both on- and offshore.

Deutsche Messe AG representatives say, as part of Hannover Messe, Pipeline Technology is ideally positioned to attract an international audience. Of the 210,000 attendees at the 2005 event, 29% came from outside of Germany, and DMAG expects this percentage to grow in the future as visitors from fast-growing regions such as Asia and the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) -- where energy will be big business for a long time -- seek out the latest solutions from the world marketplace.

Deutsche Messe AG officials believe that, in comparison to similar events, Pipeline Technology's real advantage lies in the parallel sectors that comprise Hannover Messe, pointing to the common ground shared by the show's Energy sector -- which focuses on power generation/distribution and energy-plant automation, control and maintenance -- and the Interkama+ sector, which focuses on process automation. Pipeline Technology will also feature a supporting program that will address such topics as "Pipeline Management" and "African Economic Forum".

Hannover Messe (www.hannovermesse.de), which will run April 24-28, 2006, at the Hannover Fairgrounds in Hannover, Germany, is one of the world's leading tradeshows for industrial technology. Last year's event featured 6,090 exhibiting companies on 2.3 million square feet of display area and attracted 205,000 attendees. For additional event news, see: www.hf-usa.com/hannoverfair_news.
