KITCHENER, ON, FEB FEB 15, 2018 -- As the water and wastewater industries continue to see technological advancements, innovations and growth, Deep Trekker is developing ROVs to meet its customer’s needs.

Infrastructure inspections are not always easy and efficiency and affordability in products are at the forefront for the company when developing new technology. Most recently, the state of Indiana has been experiencing extreme drainage and flooding issues around their homes after heavy rain events. To help alleviate these problems, towns, such as Crothersville, are applying for grants to force drainage improvements in the area. Deep Trekker offers innovative Pipe Crawlers such as the DT340, for small municipalities so that their pipes and sewers can be regularly monitored before these issues arise. By using the hand-held controller with an integrated viewing screen, you can easily maneuver the crawler through pipe systems and hard to reach areas, while watching live on the super-bright screen, the view from the PTZ camera head.

Constructions such as dams and sewer systems house millions of concrete within their foundations, and inspections via the DT340 are critical in ensuring the safety of Indiana’s water systems and the safety of residents in these areas. Without the need to mobilize a full CCTV truck, or wait for contractors, the operators are able to address issues in a timely fashion, often without needing to close the streets.

“Deep Trekker prides itself in engineering easy to use and affordable inspection systems. We are looking forward to our speaking engagement at WWETT to help educate those attending, and speak about how our technologies can help with wastewater inspections,” says Sam Macdonald, President, Deep Trekker Inc. “Our Pipe Crawler has provided customers around the world with continuous growth for their infrastructure and industrial projects and we hope we can offer the same for small towns and municipalities such as Crothersville, Indiana.”
