GE appoints two new company officers

FAIRFIELD, CT, March 31, 2005 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- The Board of Directors of GE has approved the appointment of two new company officers.

Jeffrey W. Connelly, 47, is vice president and general manager for GE Infrastructure, Water & Process Technologies' Operations business. Connelly leads the newest component of Water & Process Technologies, focused on water scarcity and desalination solutions. This is the joint combination of the integrated Ionics, Inc. and Osmonics acquisitions. Connelly also leads the Global Supply Operation. Connelly has been General Manager of GE Osmonics at GE Infrastructure since February 2003. Prior to his roles in GE Infrastructure, Connelly had a variety of roles in GE Energy including Energy's Global Six Sigma Quality Leader, General Manager of Steam Turbine & Generator Global Manufacturing Operations as well as numerous other roles in Sourcing and Supply Chain Management.

Connelly received his bachelor's degree in marketing management from Siena College in 1979.

Tom M. Quindlen, 42, is vice president and chief marketing officer, GE Commercial Finance. Quindlen has been president of Franchise Finance, a component of GE Commercial Finance since 2002. Prior to that, he was vice president, Global Six Sigma and e-Business, Commercial Equipment Finance, also a component of GE Commercial Finance. Quindlen was vice president, Global e-Business & Productivity in June 2000. In March 1999, Quindlen was executive vice president of sales marketing, Japan Leasing, GE Commercial Finance, based in Tokyo, Japan. Prior to that, Quindlen had a variety of marketing, sales and business development roles in GE European Equipment Finance, a component of GE Commercial Finance.

Quindlen received his bachelor's degree in Accounting from Villanova University in 1984.
