HILTON HEAD ISLAND, SC, Aug. 25, 2005 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- WK Dickson & Co Inc. announced that Mark Tate, PE, branch manager of the Hilton Head regional office, has been named a vice president. The announcement was made during Tuesday's executive management meeting in Charlotte, N.C. The Hilton Head regional office has experienced significant growth in just six short months of operation. After opening the office with a single employee, they now have five full-time employees and 15 major active engineering projects for nearby towns and cities.
Tate most recently served as the director of Utilities, Public Works, and Property Maintenance for the city of North Augusta, S.C. His experience includes design and project management of water and wastewater systems as well as utility design and construction for various major municipal and commercial projects throughout the southeast. He received his bachelor's degree in civil engineering from Tennessee Technological University.
Tate brings an impressive resume to contribute to the success and continued growth of the WK Dickson team. Tate has held senior-level management positions throughout his career. His involvement in the water resources field includes work as a private consultant as well as administrator of public works systems for municipalities in the Southeast and Midwest regions.
Tate is a registered Professional Engineer (PE) in South Carolina, Florida, Kentucky, Indiana, Ohio, and Missouri. He remains active in the American Water Works Association (AWWA), Water Environment Federation, APWA Legislative Advocacy Task Force and the Legislative Review Committee of AWWA.
